Americans lead the ticket sales for the World Cup ;D And they say we don't like football...

My dad said he's going to try to get tickets for our family in the new year...Even though he watches American football and not soccer, we went to South Africa for vacation a couple years back and everyone loved it. I really hope we go!

LOL you think ticket sales directly correlates to support? ::lol::

85,000 tickets from a population of 304million.
50,000 tickets from a population of 60 million.

You do the maths. But it is nice to see Americans taking an interest in the beautiful game.

Wouldn't that mean we have more support than any other nation still? :-\

^^ Yup. It means as of now, we'll have the most support in South Africa. I don't understand how the population of England and America have anything to do with what I posted. According to the "maths" I did, 85,000 > 50,000.

You have the most numbers, not the most relative support.

Umm what? Why would you think that? I'm pretty sure America watches the World Cup. It may not be the most popular sport here, but when it comes to supporting our country, we never fail, especially during tournaments like this. For example, no one watches swimming matches day to day, but the vast majority watched and cheered on Michael Phelps. There's a reason why the World Cup '94 holds the highest attendance record, as well as the most watched sporting event in our history.

Bottom line, America as of now, will have the most support in South Africa next year.

LOL if you can't take banter on a forum, then god help you if you're ever face to face with hardcore football fans at the WC.

I don't get what the subject has to do with relative support. We're talking who has the most people buying tickets for WC2010, right? So as of now, we win. Right? Correct.

Of course not all of us are into soccer, but that's because we're busy kicking ass at the other 500 sports we dominate/participate in.

I can't take the banter? By banter do you mean the fucked up "logic" you're using, that makes no sense? That's funny. You really don't know what you're talking about.

LOL you've got to be kidding me. My claws are safely put away. You don't want to see them come out.

Why don't you go read your spiteful and catty posts then take your own advice? I don't remember forcing you to come in here and reply. If you don't like how I post, don't read them and don't respond to them. Is that simple enough?

dont mean to beat a dead horse but im pretty sure she meant look at the sales percentage wise. you cant compare 85,000 to 50,000 when the total populations are vastly different. if you look at the numbers as a whole 100 percent and then view the number of tickets sold just off of the whole, America, in fact, is not leading. i think thats what she was referring to.  :P

but hey imma support america because we do it the biggest!!! i love us no matter all the stereotypes and negative attitudes.

hala USA!!! hahaha ;D
