Fantastic win for Holland, I really hope they go far in this tournaments...always one of my favourite teams to watch. I hope they get better too as the Euro's progresses and hopefully Robben and Van Persie can play a bigger part if fully fit. Great to see Van Persie back doing all his tricks and flicks, the boy needs some goals!

Robin said 2 years ago that if he could sign any player from Holland for Arsenal it would be Affelay...we should sign Robin up as our Dutch scout, he has an eye for quality players it would seem, and he has loads of free time on his hands cause he is always bloody injured, might as well get our money's worth out of him!

He did look good tonight, hopefully he can make an impact for Holland! They have a great team this tournament, shame they are the hard side of the draw though, that is unfortunate for them, but I still think they could go far! If they keep tonights form up, no one will want to play them!

Wow Congrats to the Dutch!!!

I tivo-ed the Group C matches to watch tonight and avoided all match results on the internet till then. Anyway, I watched the Romania-France matching and saw that Romania was playing very well defensively and began to hope! I really don't want Italy or France to get out of the group. I'm American so I have no country to officially root for but I'm just so tired of both Italy and France! (no offense). And I was so impressed for Romania for that draw!

And then when the Netherlands-Italy match started I had hope that the Dutch would prevail and I was right!!!! Seriously, it was so satisfying to see Italy get beaten! Loved seeing Van der Saar in action. He made an awesome save with that free kick. Haven't seen Ruud play in a while! Made me miss him in his Utd kit! That first goal was definitely off-side, but the ref didn't call it so it stands. But the 2nd goal was absolutely magnificent! It was such a good game. I love the Dutch mentality of always attacking!

Anyway, I hope the Dutch do well in their remaining matches!

And Van der Vaart only has a son I thought???

I was about to say that Vd vaart does not have a daughter ::lol::

hatice you're hilarious ::lol:: I never thought you'd cheer for holland ;D

Im soooo proud, the match was amazing and indeed with a little more effort/luck we'd win 5-0. That counter attack by v. bronckhorst was STUNNING! and i'm glad afellay got a few minutes to play, his first attack was a pretty good one too...

Genuinely Italy plays a very classic Football, no matter they lost they are still the world champion, Netherlands played well indeed and they were stronger in the match, there are still matches to go in the group of death as is called, so let's see what happens.

Wow, I am shocked, the commentators were shocked...
In a very very good way.

Oranje owned the azzuri, period.
Incredible performance, and I was squeeling when I heard that Boula was going to start, I wanted that all along! ::lol::

Engelaar has been a true blessing to this team.
Good decision to bring De Jong instead of De Zeeuw too.
Gio was phenomenal, he first gets the ball off the line and then sets up the 2nd goal with Kuyt and then birthday boy scores. :-*
And to top it all Gio also scores the third.

Can you imagine a more perfect birthday for Wesley than this one?! :o

VDS was great, it was a great team performance.
Best match under Van Basten by far.

Then Ibrahim, Robin and Johnny came on and the team was still strong as ever.
I'm so happy that Marco gave Ibrahim a chance, his shot on goal just hit the bar. I flove him.

France-Romania ended in 0-0, this can't go wrong, it just can't.
The players didn't let the win get to their head, they were very realistic and that's good.
Van der Sar is a GK and I usually don't like GK to be captain but for him I would make an exception any time of the day.
It's sad really, that this is his last major tournament and matches he'll play for Oranje. :(

And I'm very happy that alot of people who were saying that Rafael and Wesley can't play at the same time were proven wrong!

It's absolutely brilliant.
Looks like Van Basten was serious after all when he said at the World Cup that Euro 2008 was his main goal :o ::lol::

Sorry I read "van der Sar" and not "Van der vaart" Lol Yes VDV has a son. Lol He was born in 2006 I think.
::lol:: it's my fault  I meant Van der Sar (the kid he hugged after the match  ;) )..  i get confused with their names sometimes ...
