What I Go To School For (Part Nine)
?They?re staring at me,? Pua said as she and Changmin danced along to the slow song that was playing. He had his hands on her hips, and was in complete contentment staring deeply into her eyes.
?That?s because you?re so beautiful,? he said.
?We shouldn?t have done this,? she said, shaking her head gently. ?I know we?re leaving tomorrow morning, but still....this is awkward.?
?It was your idea,? he teased.
?I really was too drunk off of your kisses at the time to think straight,? she replied.
?Did you want to leave then?? he asked.
?Later,? she said. ?We haven?t seen your friends.?
?Let?s go find them,? he suggested as the song ended.
As they headed for the punch and snacks table, Changmin smiled at all the staring people. This was exactly what he had anticipated; everyone needed to know that he was with the woman of his dreams and there was nothing anyone can do about it. Pouring some punch for Pua and him, Changmin did not notice Junsu standing across from him.
?Min?? Junsu asked, unable to believe that Changmin was standing right beside Miss Pua, who looked hotter than ever before, and yet Changmin was not even noticing her.
?Junsu!? Changmin shouted, looking up. ?I just arrived! You look good!?
?Same to you,? Junsu said.
?Oh, this is my date, Pua,? Changmin said, pulling Pua closely to him.
?Huh?? was all Junsu could think of to say.
?She?s my date,? Changmin said, handing a cup of punch to Pua. ?Actually, I have big news to share with you all. Where is everyone else??

They were lying near naked in her bed. All she needed to do was take off her underwear and socks; all he needed to do was take off his boxers. She turned around rested her hand on his chest.
?So?? she said at last.
?You?re good,? he said, resting his hand over hers?. ?Come on, we need to go or else we?ll never make it to the dance.?
He got up suddenly, picking up his clothing off the floor.
?Wait,? Chee said, sitting up, ?you still want to go??
?Yeah,? Micky replied, putting on his trousers. ?Did you really think that sex would make me forget about the dance??
?Yes,? she said. ?I thought you wanted me to go to the dance so you could have sex with me after the dance.?
?I know that I don?t need to spike the punch with vodka to get you to have sex with me,? Micky said. ?What kind of a jerk do you take me for??
?Why do you want to go?? Chee asked, unwilling to get out of her bed.
?I thought that we?d have fun with our friends and classmates,? he said, sitting down beside her. ?Come on, Chee. It?s just the winter dance. Come spring, if you don?t want to go to prom, we won?t go. This is Changmin?s last night as a high schooler, and he?s one of my best friends in the world. I can?t not show up.?
?Fine,? Chee said, grabbing a few items. ?I need to do some really quick makeup and hair stuff then.?

?So....? Yunho said loudly as they all sat around a round table, staring at Changmin and Miss Pua seated next to each other.
?How?d you ask Miss Pua out?? Jessy blurted out.
?I just asked her,? Changmin said with a nod. ?She said yes, and we?re here.?
?Junsu said you had some big news to share?? Larissa said, trying to carry the conversation on.
?Oh, yeah,? Changmin grinned. ?I want to tell you all, but where?s Micky??
?No idea,? Yunho said, realizing for the first time that night that he had not seen Micky and Chee at the dance so far.
?They?re probably running late,? Fefa said.
?Hey, guys!? Micky announced suddenly with Chee just behind him in a blue dress. ?Sorry that we?re late.?
?It?s my fault, really,? Chee said with a blush. ?Oh, hi Miss Pua!?
?Hello Miss Kahn,? Pua said with a hand wave.
?What are you doing here?? Chee asked.
?She?s my date,? Changmin said.
?Oh,? Chee and Micky said together.
?About the big news?? Jaejoong said, turning his attention to Changmin.
?Right?? Changmin began, but he was cut off by the DJ.
?All right, happy couples, this is the last dance! Bring your happy butts onto the dance floor and dance the last dance of the night!?
?We arrived in time for one dance,? Chee said to Micky.
?One dance is good enough,? Micky replied as he led Chee onto the dance floor as the Bangles ?Eternal Flame? came on.
?It?s the last dance,? Junsu said to Larissa, dragging her out of her seat.
Everyone followed the two couples, and Yunho said softly to Changmin, ?We can hear your announcement when we meet up at the hotel, okay??
Changmin gave a nod.

The other students who had made reservations at the same hotel were still staring at Changmin and Miss Pua as they arrived at the hotel.
?We didn?t make any reservations here,? Changmin said to Yunho as he parked his motorcycle. ?Look, when everyone gets here, I?ll just tell you the news. We have to leave soon.?
Yunho gave nod, realizing that it must be something really serious if Changmin could not stay. Once all of their friends arrived, Changmin put his arm around Miss Pua?s waist and gave her a nod.
?So what?s the big news?? Micky asked.
?I haven?t been honest with you guys,? Changmin began. ?Pua and I have been seeing each other for a few months now, and we?re going to live together. I?m off to university and she?s going to teach at a school nearby. We?re leaving tonight.?
They were all silent.
After a couple minutes Yunho finally spoke up. ?Well,? he began, taking a step forward, ?I wish you both a happy life. I?m happy for you Changmin. Be sure to keep in touch.?
Changmin and Pua got back onto the motorcycle, and gave a final farewell wave as Changmin?s friends looked on.
?I can?t believe he got her,? Jaejoong said.
?We?ll never forget this, for sure,? Jessy said with a nod.
They stared off to the distance for a few moments longer before all departing to go check into their hotel rooms.

EpilogueFive Years Later..... The couple was walking hand in hand, strolling gently down the park, wondering why they were to meet outdoors on such a rainy day. Their friends have always been strange like that, so they should not have expected any less.
?Don?t try to unzip your jacket,? Jaejoong ordered as he watched his wife unzip her jacket slightly. ?It?s cold!?
?I?m a little warm, though,? she said. ?And don?t use that tone with me; you know how I hate it.?
?Aish, I?m sorry,? he said before planting a kiss on her cheek.
?Oh, look! There?s Larissa and Junsu!? Jessy said, pointing to a couple standing under a bright orange umbrella.
?You?re early!? Larissa shouted as she waved to Jaejoong and Jessy. ?Well, we just got a call from Changmin, and he said it?s probably best if we met them at the coffee shop not too far from here.?
?What do you think the big news is?? Jaejoong asked. ?We haven?t seen him in five years, and out of nowhere he calls us.?
?Well, it can be anything,? Junsu said with a shrug.
Once they all made it to the warm and cozy coffee shop, they gazed around and found the rest of their friends all seated at the far end of the shop. To their shock, there was a baby stroller there with them.
?It can?t be Pua and Changmin!? Jessy said to Jaejoong.
?So it?s Fefa and Yunho?? Larissa asked. ?We haven?t talked to them in about a year.?
?Or Chee and Micky,? Junsu said. ?They?re always busy, and never talk to us either.?
?Let?s go find out,? Jessy said, leading Jaejoong by the hand.
They loudly greeted one another happily, and after ordering their drinks, settled down to make room to fit everyone.
?Everybody,? Changmin said, ?I want you all to meet Choi Seung Changmin.?
?How old is he?? Jessy asked as Pua let her hold him in her arms.
?Just three months,? Pua replied. ?We named him after his god father.?
?Congratulations, Max,? Yunho said, shaking his friend?s hand. ?You do everything before all of us. Fefa and I have been thinking of having kids.?
?But you just graduated last month,? Micky said, looking over at Yunho.
?So?? Fefa replied. ?We?ve been married for a year now, Micky. It?s just a matter of time before we start having kids.?
?Well, Jaejoong and Jessy have been married for two years, and they haven?t had any kids yet,? Larissa announced.
?What about you?? Chee asked as Jessy handed Choi Seung back to Pua. ?You and Junsu going to tie the knot soon??
?No,? Junsu said, blushing. ?We both want to finish school first.?
?Do you want to hold the baby?? Pua asked Micky.
?No, thanks,? Micky said, his turn to blush.
?Chee doesn?t want babies,? Fefa said. ?So why should Micky??
?Shut up,? Chee shouted, flashing Fefa a dirty look. ?I?m just glad that we?re able to all finally meet up today and catch up.?
As the rain carried on, so did all the chatter in the coffee shop. Changmin sat back, putting an arm around his wife, who was gently rocking their son back to sleep. He still could not believe how he lucked out on getting the woman of his dreams. Everyday was like a dream come true to him, and he never took any of it for granted.
