why does ronaldo always wear long sleeves????

Hi guys,sometimes ronaldo wears short sleeves like in euro 2004,2008 & the world cup 2006 & the start of each season.but he wears long sleeves the rest of the season
when i play football i always wearing long sleeve although the heat degree is 50 c i feel like a free bird flying in on the pitch
