Fanfic Beta and Casting Thread

So after a few requests we've decided to open a Beta & Casting thread for the fanfic section! If you are looking for a beta to check over your story, or anyone who is willing to take on the task, then just post a request here. If you are going to start a ficcie and want to cast members as character, please follow the directions below and post all relevant information HERE.


For Betas:
For those who don't know, a beta is a person (it can be a member or a friend) who reads over someone's work and gives helpful critique, points, advice on characters, plot and language. They can help improve your grammar and vocabulary and help edit sentences that are stubborn and won't work, give suggestions on how to improve and generally just help clean up any piece of writing. Betas really are very helpful and are strongly recommended for everyone, especially those who haven't got a strong grasp/are learning English as a second language. It makes your story much more enjoyable and it is easier on the reader if a fiction has correct grammar, sentence and paragraph structure etc.

If you want a beta just post here stating explicitly what you want help with and any appropriate information, and I'm sure someone will be more than willing to help you out.

For Castings:

• Use this thread to announce a casting for your new/current fic, posting with it a form and all other information you need from readers.
• Members: PM your castings/forms to the authors personally - do not post them here.
• Authors: Do not open a new thread for a story before all castings, or at least a majority of characters, are complete.

We hope this thread will help you and other readers as well and hopefully it will make things clearer and neater in the fiction board.

oh here goes ... Hi guys ... so i'm currently sitting on two perspective fics (cristiano). I have both thouroughly mapped out ... i know i'm not quite at the member level that i need to be but i am getting there quickly ... so hopefull by the time i'm ready to start posting i'll be there .. ...

now i'm thinking that i'll need a beta ... one because i'm kinda unsure about how all this works... had plenty of ideas through the years on various web pages/forums but have never had the courage or motivation to get them written and put out there... this time i really want to necause i haven't been able to get my ideas out of my head .. so i need someone who will bust my ass to get chapters out!! ... and critisze when needed ... and assure me that i can do it!... also probably be able to write the occasional sex scene as i'm not quite sure how to word things there ... (full credit will obviously be given) ...

i'm going to start with just one fic atm ... just to get me going ... i need some name suggestions ..

here is a really quick run down of the fic ... just for an idea of it for some names

a young lady has a 'stupid' brother who is heavy into gambling and drugs... he used all the money she had put together to support herself and their grandmother whom lives in a home and has a lot of bills ... he has gotten into trouble, owes money to cris's agent.  Cris has been having problems with the media about his womanising ways. Jorge Mendes knows about 'brothers' sister and decides that this can work in his favour. This is the basic plot of the story ... i'm sure you can see where it is going...

now i need name suggestions for the lead female, the brother and the females best friend... i'm pretty much down with characters and personalities ... just need names ... any suggestions would be apprciated ... that would be the final step for me to actually put it all together
