he has changed from the person he was when he first arrived at OT, but i don't consider it a bad thing at all. he has become more comfortable with the limelight and the media (i.e. when doing interviews and not when he's being stalked), and i also believe he's mentally stronger now. it's a good change when you see him handling difficult questions with ease as opposed to looking flustered like in his first few interviews, but maybe that was also due to the language barrier since he spoke little english then.
as for his 'arrogance', i've never considered him an arrogant person and never had reason to. shrugging his shoulders on the field after scoring a spectacular goal is part of the show he puts on when he's playing...i do not look at it as a sure sign of him being arrogant off the field. he does come across as cocky in some interviews, but i think that's down to his sense of humour and supreme confidence, both of which are grossly misunderstood by the general public. we do have to consider how the media works before passing judgements on him based on quotes. a lot of times he just jokes around but the media quotes him without mentioning that, making him sound bad. all his teammates ever say when talking about his personality is that he's not what papers make him out to be, and i think that says a lot!
