Do you guys know of a really good concealer?! I'm having so much trouble with mine! I hate it! :(
What brand are you using currently? I haven't really used concealers, but I know that a lot of people swear by Amazing Cosmetics' concealer. A lot of other people also like the three or four colored cream concealers too. I don't know of any specific brands however.

I use Bo-ing. It works but I'm just wondering if there's something better because it only comes in three shades so it's either too light or too dark for me. I really need to cover trouble areas and using concealer that doesn't match my skin only highlights it...

Well, I have heard that it's best to get a concealer that is one or two shades lighter than your skintone/foundation. It blends with your foundation and natural skin better than if you got an exact color match or one that is several shades too light or dark. Also, if you use a powder foundation, you need to put the concealer on first. With a liquid or cream foundation you need to put the concealer on second. I've heard generally good reviews on Boi-ing except that it can get a bit cakey.

Maybe you should consider getting a cream concealer wheel. They are less messy and you can use specific tones for specific areas you want to cover up. You just have to keep in mind that you must blend really well. I heard the best brand is the Lise Watier Concealer Wheel.

I'm considering getting the Lise Watier concealer or Amazing Cosmetics concealer.

Yeah, it gets really cakey and sometimes, doesn't work so well.

Ohh, I might try that sometimes.

I just bought Kat Von D's rock and roll duo eyeshadow in Motorhead from eBay! :D Very excited to use it. When I get some more cash I'm going to get the Too Faced shadow insurance.

Does anyone know a good mascara thickens your lashes?

I'm using Telescopic right now but it doesn't work very well. I'm willing to splurge for a very good one, but I don't know where to start looking :/

Give this blog a look around. I found it really helpful and it was where I learned about Urban Decay's wasteful packaging for their primer:

I shared it with a friend late one night on MSN and she and I were going through the site for hours. ::lol::

As a quickie advice, don't always depend on expensive mascaras to always be better than cheap mascaras. A lot of the really pricey ones are actually not that great. It'll be a total waste of money.

So I got a free sample of the Clinique Redness Solutions Instant Relief Mineral Powder from Sephora, and I hated it. I tried it twice, and I still have some left over. IT SUCKS. It felt heavy on my face, and it worsened the condition of my skin. The first time I put it on over my foundation, it was terrible. The second time I put it on a clean face, because I thought that it would work better. It was more or less the same. I DON'T recommend it at all. It's really pricey too, so if you want to try it, if you can, get samples of it first before thinking of purchasing it. Maybe it works better for other skin types.

Sorry to double post, but I finally started using my Coastal Scents True Black Gel Liner since I finally bought an angled brush. And I really want to rant off about it. ::lol::

I got it for $6.95US from Coastal Scents' website. I had never used a gel liner before so I was afraid to use it. I LOVE IT!!! It goes on so easily and clean! And a little goes a very long way. I highly recommend it!
A bit of eyeliner history from me: I prefer pencil liner. It's easy to use and easy to clean up mistakes. I suck with liquid liner. I just don't have the patience for it. It takes ages to dry up and it smears too easily. I have all three kinds, but I'm definitely using gel liners now. But yeah, a word of advice to people, a little goes veeerrrry far.

Oh yeah, my sister bought the Loreal HiP Cream Liner in Black too. It came with a brush but a lot of people say it sucks....but I dunno if it's any worse than my cheapass one ahahaha. I haven't used hers' but it seems to go on well. My sister paid, what I am guessing from looking around, anywhere from $9US to $11US. With shipping costs, my Coastal Scents gel liner is probably the same price. You also don't have to wait for the gel liner to arrive since Loreal is international and sold in most places.

A word of advice, from what I've seen around, these cream/gel liners dry up kind of quick, especially the Loreal HiP Liner. People have said to put in baby oil into the product and let it sit for awhile and then mix it up. Another method (the one I'd be more inclined to use), put your gel liner bottle in a seal top bag (like Ziplock) and put the product in really warm water for a few minutes. I'd only do the baby oil if the warming up method doesn't work.

My friend uses gel liner, it always looks amazing on her. I think the fact that she's Asian and has the most amazing eyes also helps though. ::lol:: I use normal pencil liners for every day use but when I'm out in the town or on a special occasion I tend to use liquid liner because it looks more sleek and gives the simplest outfit a nice boost. I use Rimmel's Exaggerate liquid eye liner, and it's really great. It doesn't take too long to dry and it lasts a full night of hard partying haha. It can be a bit messy until you get used to it, but once you do it's great.

I use Maybelline's Colossal Volum Express mascara; it's reallly good. It gives your lashes heaps of length and volume and lasts ages. If you're looking for a good mascara with a decent price, I definitely recommend it. :)

I have Rimmel's liquid liner too. I've only used it a few times, but ever since discovering gel liners I've abandoned my liquid and pencil liners. ::lol:: The advantage of liquid liners though is that they stay on a lot longer than gel and cream liners even though they are good as well. Now I want to get every color in gel liners!!!

I have my eyes on makeup brushes now. I keep saying I'll buy them but I always go and get other kinds of makeup. ::lol::

I also use Gel eye liner and I wont switch to anything else ::lol:: I have extremely long lashes and so eye liner and mascara can sometimes look way too dramatic but gel liner is so easy to smudge and give more of a natural look with mascara

I also wanted to throw out that im actually extremely allergic to make up with sucks but since I've found Physician's formula Ive gotten back into make up!! :D Its priced greatly and I never had any reaction to it what-so-ever! I currently have the waterproof mascara, blush, and bronzer... they do make gel eyeliner but Ive yet to find it in stores so instead I push through the watery eyes and wear maybelline for right now ::lol::

Wow I didn't know Maybelline had gel liners! It must suck to be allergic to most kinds of makeup, but hey at least you have found a good brand, Krista.

I did!! i honestly suggest it to people who aren't allergic I mean I dont feel like I have make up on and its sooo natural looking (if thats your style)

Maybelline does have gel liner, its really nice and if you wet the brush a bit it basically turns into a liquid liner so you have the best of both worlds! :D
