Oh really Pragya? I've heard so many good things about Bobbi Brown's foundation too! What didn't you like about it?
Okay so I finally dyed my hair. I discovered a Japanese brand of hair dye earlier this year. It's called Prettia. I have purchased them from eBay and a from a blog someone told me about, but that guy doesn't sell them anymore, which is upsetting because he sold them for a great price and they shipped a hell of a lot faster than the girl from eBay. I LOVE PRETTIA!
They are super easy to use, they don't make my hair feel super dry and stiff after I use it like other DIY brands I've bought from both drugstores and Sally's Beauty Supplies, and I love the way my hair turns out afterward.
A bit on Prettia:
-It's a Japanese brand that claims to work better for hard to dye hair, mainly Asian women with very dark hair. I think it's for people with really dark and THICK hair, because some of my friends are also Asian but it's not that difficult for them to dye their hair with DIY brands and it's because they have finer hair than me. I have super thick hair and A LOT of it and my hair is naturally very very dark.
By the way, they have an "international" brand called "Liese" that is sold in other countries such as China, Singapore, and Taiwan (amongst others). I used Liese the first time, and it works the same except Liese has ENGLISH directions. I have kept the English directions and I like turning to it when I am unsure if I am doing it right. So I would suggest for anyone interested if they want English directions to read, get Liese. Really, there is no difference I don't care if I get Prettia or Liese, even if someone selling it to me says it's Prettia but what I get in the mail is actually Liese.-It's a FOAM dye, which makes for easy application and less of a mess. I love how easy it is to to use, and if you get some on your skin or on the sink or floor, it's an easy wipe up and it's less damaging than the previous brands I've used (IE. it leaves no damage to my floor or bathroom counter/sink). I mostly love that it doesn't darken my skin in spots near my scalp. Also, I don't know if anyone else suffered through this

, for the first month or two with old brands of dyes, whenever I would brush/comb my hair or scratch my scalp, I would get the dye colors on my brushes/combs or my nails would change colors. It was especially apparent when I dyed my hair blue. After scratching my scalp for a second the tips of my nails would have a blue stain and it BUGGED me. This brand, it doesn't do that.
-It claims to do no damage to your hair. I actually think since using it, it has softened my hair. I didn't really notice how soft it makes my hair feel until this third time I used it. When I shampoo my hair it doesn't get that brittle and dry feeling like with other brands. It seems to get super soft and absorb the beautiful fragrance of my shampoo and conditioner better. From the first time I've used it, I LOVED how it didn't make my hair feel fried and stiff when I washed it out, but it was not until now did I feel like it has made my hair feel softer than before.
-It claims that you only need to leave it in for 30 to 40 minutes because the dye stops "working" an hour after you mix the chemicals. I have always hated leaving the dye in for the directed time and have my hair look the same, so I always keep this dye (and any other dye) in for at least an hour and a half or two hours. It turned out better the first time and this most recent time. I don't know if it is because I massaged my hair a lot more or because I left them in longer those times.
