but what's up with him wearing the ring on his wedding finger? i know he's not married....and he doesn't strike me as the type to wear a purity ring ::lol::

Maria can clarify this but if I remember right,portuguese people have engagement ring on their right hand.


I agree with Majiek,crissy was just being friendly to rania and so was kaka.But they both looked like they were impressed with her,as was i,and that`s great.

Btw,howcome the players` wives werent present this year?

yeah del bosque wasn't a big fan of spanish players...;D and awww Iker was nice he wanted to make sure he'll still be included in the Cris and Kaka bromance ::lol:: sorta off-topic...Kaka was kinda really close to getting 3rd place...just 6points separated him from Xavi...and he got more votes for 1st place than Xavi did ::lol::

I think the fact is already established...don't think anyone can see him going down that road anytime soon ::lol::

Just saw the ring and wondered what was the reasoning behind it...you know is it some portuguese custom, or a promise ring he got himself? Where I'm from wearing a ring on that finger means either marriage/engagement (which we know is not the case here), promise ring, or purity ring (which given his past exploits seems a tad unlikely). Just asked out of curiosity...


Anyways, back to the topic..I'm genuinely happy for him with the awards he won at the Gala....I'm sure next year he will be gunning for world player of the year yet again.

I'm shocked Cristiano hasn't been voted for at all by some countries, and even more shocked at some people instead of him... Cristiano and Manchester United against all the odds win there 3rd Premiership title in a row, get to the Champion's League again and Cristiano scoring 26 goals and scoring in every Champion's League knock-out round (excluding the final) despite having a injury at the beginning of the season... and now this season Cristiano's joined Real Madrid and again against all the odds and pressure of joining a new club Cristiano has scored 13 goals in 12 games despite another injury-disrupted season this time for Los Blancos. He is the Champion's League top-scorer with 6 goals despite only playing 3 and a half games.

Messi was voted 2nd last year and I don't think he done as much as that...
