gotta love fletcher and iker :)

the danish nt coach is an ass, he didn't vote for cristiano at all.

I'm shocked Cristiano hasn't been voted for at all by some countries, and even more shocked at some people instead of him... Cristiano and Manchester United against all the odds win there 3rd Premiership title in a row, get to the Champion's League again and Cristiano scoring 26 goals and scoring in every Champion's League knock-out round (excluding the final) despite having a injury at the beginning of the season... and now this season Cristiano's joined Real Madrid and again against all the odds and pressure of joining a new club Cristiano has scored 13 goals in 12 games despite another injury-disrupted season this time for Los Blancos. He is the Champion's League top-scorer with 6 goals despite only playing 3 and a half games.

Messi was voted 2nd last year and I don't think he done as much as that...

i kinda think his 07/08 is the best and worst for thing that has happened to him..
best (obvious i know) because of the 42 goals in 49 games and the pl and cl, but it's the worst that has happened, because whatever he did in following seasons it would always get meassured to the 07/08 season, and tbh i don't think anyone will beat that for quite some time...
so even though he was in the cl final for a second time in a row, won the pl again
and scored 26 goals ho won't seem that great.. even in manchester he didn't..
but having said that, i have a feeling 2010 is going to be a lot better for him...

I agree, it's raised expectations, people need to understand scoring 42 goals is not the normal thing, it's a one-off, I don't know how Cristiano can get back to the level of people been impressed with him even if he only scores 25 goals a season, imo that's still amazing.

I think maybe people need to miss Cristiano playing football before they want him back, then they will know that hes so precious/special that you shouldn't try to destroy him by saying he has to score 42 goals every season...  that just watching Cristiano every-week is a joy... I was hoping his injury would do that.

::lol:: Terry voted for Drogba?! WTF?!?!?!?!?!? And Ballack second?! Thank god there are lots of votes to go around, and that many actually look at talent rather than just voting for a teammate. I don't like Messi that much but how does is not make it into the top three for Terry's picks?! ::lol:: So much ridiculous bias.

Well, congrats to Cristiano! Very well deserved second place. Now he has all three trophies! 1st, 2nd and 3rd! ;D ;D

He really needs to wear different kinds of suits to these events though! And love her Prada (or Gucci is it?) jacket at the press conference! :D
