CHAPTER 1The familiar tune of the show played while the camera zoomed in on a tallish smiling beauty.
'Buenas noches!! and bienvenido to Fatherhood...' she smiled widely.
'Now there must be something in the air... or something in the water! Cause' as you might have read recently in the tabloids, it is the height of fashion to be pregnant at the moment. On this season we follow the players on their journey to fatherhood...... Some are to be fathers for the first time, for others...this is their 2nd or third time around....We will take a look back to where it all started and stay with them on their long and trying journeys. Stay with us as we follow the hottest couples expecting the future generation of footballers and models... Are you ready to hear the patter of the little tiny feet?? VAMOS!!!
The screen was filled with images of the various couples while the jingle played loudly in the background.
The sun shone down on a typical madrid morning as the presenter strolled peacfully on a long piece of green lawn while talking to the camera.
'Now...Our first couple may both be from madrid....but they originally met a thousand miles from here..... ...with the help of the organisation called PLAN, In case your wondering Plan is not a dating agency!! But perhaps they should add that to their objectives!! Instead, Plan is one of the largest child-centred community development organisations in the world, helping children and their families in 49 of the poorest countries to break the cycle of poverty. It doesn't exactly sound like the perfect meeting place....BUT, it was their love for humanitarian work that brought them closer together. Their very first meeting was in a place called Mali....where they spent two weeks together. It was clear from very early on that they were crazy about each other....and It was there that the romantic whirlwind began.....far away from the glitz and glamour of the santiago bernebeu and the runway's of madrid's catwalk..... can you guess who i'm talking about??? no? well let me give you a few clues....He was born in Mostoles in 1981 and has since risen to being Spain's number one! He has been given the nickname 'saint' due to his humanitarian work and is a regular in real's starting line up. His individual and collective honours include two champions league titles as well as a number of fifa awards..... She has rightly earned the label 'madrid's sweetheart' and she often graces the covers of vogue as well as performing for packed stadium's night after night!! She detests the 'wag' label and hates being called one!... Still don't know who i'm talking about?? MORE CLUES MAYBE??? This high profile couple is a match made in heaven!!! But AT FIRST.... tried to keep their relationship under wraps for as long as possible, but it was her increasing presence at the santiago bernebeu that certainly started the rumours! They have since become the posh and becks of madrid rarely being seen without each other....Over the past three years they have been seen around Madrid hand in hand.... Last summer they finally tied the knot in a lavish yet private ceremony. Think you know now?? YOU'VE GOT IT.... IT'S MR...AND MRS IKER CASILLAS!!!!!!'
The camera cuts to images from the tabloids of them together... before returning to showing the presenter walking up to Mandy.
'Ola....que tal?' Mandy asked kissing the presenter on both cheeks. 'Bien!' the presenter replied pulling away as they started to walk together.
'Ok Mandy....let's go back to the beginning!!! tell us about how it all happened...' the presenter began while they strolled in the garden of a beautiful mansion.
'Well' started Mandy touching her stomach affectionatly, It was not really even visible yet but you could tell that she was excited about her pregnancy! 'Well are we talking about the pregnancy or something else!' she laughed as the presenter giggled loudly. 'HAHAHA You can save those details for later!' she added as both the women laughed.
'Mali let's start at Mali.....was it true that you we'ren't even supposed to go?' the presenter started as Mandy nodded.
'Ummm yea that's true....I'd always been actively involved with PLAN since a while back....and you know it's great donating money or helping to raise money but because of my schedule I've never really got to see how the money has been spent. My manager got a call from Plan inviting me out to Mali and she never told me about it because my european tour was supposed to start a day after I would've got back from Mali. So my management were very much against the idea of me going!! And I think I spent like a day trying to convince them after speaking to my family about it.....and at that time I never knew that Iker would be there!
'So you convinced them? and head out to Mali where you are told that Iker casillas will also be there....promoting Plan...?' the presenter asked.
'Yea I headed out there and my management told me about him. I didn't really have time to watch much football....and didn't really know who he was to be honest. My manager told me he was a footballer and that was it....I was convinced that he was trying to clear up his image like he'd got some bad publicity or something' laughed Mandy while the presenter also laughed.
'Really?' the presenter asked while mandy nodded.
'I remember asking my manager what he'd done...you know was it some sex tape? or a rape case....or you know crashing his car...? I mean come on footballers in general have a stigma attached to them like being womanisers.....and I was deffinatly gonna stay FAR away from them'
'So what changed your initial reaction about Iker.....?' asked the presenter...
'I dunno.....We were staying in the next room to each other....ummm you know we ended up spending practically all our time together you know with press and going around Mali and you know we were both from Madrid and yea it just kinda happened...I mean I guess looking back I really started to fall for him when I saw him with the kids....he was kissing and cuddeling them and carrying them and he just acted differently to I guess most footballers. He told while he was out there that you know the season was over and that he was on his holiday....and I mean he was spending his spare time you know with plan....and he was going to venezuela after Mali...I guess that for me really changed my view of him....too often you see footballers in capri or st.tropez or somewhere stylish lying on the beach and I mean here's Iker spending time with poor children...I certainly left Mali with a different view of him...' Mandy replied
'Were you aware of the rumours that had already started about your'll while you were in Mali?' asked the presenter.
'I wasn't.....I dunno about Iker but..I certainly didn't. It did seem at first though we couldn't look at each other or smile at one another without someone saying that we were secretly dating...and at that point we weren't romantically linked what so ever....
The screen flips to show the santiago Bernebeu, with Iker walking towards the camera. After greeting the presenter it shows them sitting at a table talking...
'Now Iker.....it all started in Mali...correct?' stated the Presenter.
'Yea' iker replied nodding
'What was your first impression of her!?' asked the presenter
'beautiful no? I didn't really know much about her....I hadn't met her before...but seeing her with the kids you know she was really down to earth not like some other celebrities' he replied pushing his hair back.
'She had a very bad view of you!!' replied the presenter making iker laugh
'I know.....I heard what she thought.....but I said to her I wasn't a footballer I was a GOAL KEEPER!!' he said laughing.
'When did you next see each other....?' asked the presenter
'about? (iker thinks for a few moments) 6/7 months later....at another Plan event in Madrid and that's when we first started going out
The screen flips to show Mandy and Iker moving around the house while the presenter sits with them and asks them about their personal life...
'SO .....where was your first date?'
Iker and Mandy look at each other as Mandy smiles.... 'go on you answer that!' she replies making Iker laugh....
'First date? In a restaurant...I can't remember the little details I was too mesmerized by her beauty!!' iker replied quickly making them all laugh...
'That means he can't remember!' said Mandy sitting on a stool.
'What about first kiss?' asked the presenter as Iker smiled....'Now that I remember!!' he said as mandy laughed....
'first kiss was........in his car......after I think it was like 2nd or third date!' she replied as he laughed....'I tried to lean on the first date and she gave me her cheek!' he said as the women began laughing again.
'FIRST TIME TOGETHER?' asked the presenter as Iker and Mandy both looked at each other...
'When you say together you mean....together together??' she asked winking at the presenter while she nodded...
They both hesitated for a moment before Mandy asked following Iker's answer...
'on the first date!! (he laughs)'
'NO IT WASN'T (she slaps his arm as he laughs) my family are gonna be watching this!! Let's say our wedding night!' she replied blushing and smiling back at the presenter as they all laughed...
'It was before that!' laughed iker mouthing it to the camera as she playfully pushed his arm.
'PROPOSAL?' asked the presenter...
'Was on the balcony of my apartment with a great view....and with candles ....I had it all worked out..!' he laughed as Mandy agreed.
'How would you describe the last three years!?' asked the presenter
MANDY: Stressful!
IKER: STRESSFUL???(he looks at her) I was gonna say whirlwind...
MANDY: I mean stressfull as in.....with all the fake kiss and tell stories....the rumours....the invasion of your privacy....etc....not being with you!! (she laughs)
IKER: Ahh...that sounds better I was gonna say....!! (he laughs)
'How do you deal with all the rumours and stuff!?'
MANDY: I stopped reading them....stopped caring...I trust him...so...that's all that matters.... If you believe all the rumours you'll go mad....according to the press by now we've been divorced three times....with 6 possible pregnancies!! You'd never divorce me would you babe?
IKER: You better watch yourself!!! MRS CASILLAS!!! It's funny because everytime she was ill or something they said ohhhhhhhh she must be pregnant.....and she wasn't.........and this time.....they all said oh she's just ill..........and it made me laugh....because this time she was actually pregnant and they got it wrong!!
'Well congratulations guys......We'll be catching up with you later in the show.....for your first scan!!!'
IKER: Thanks...
'Now on tomorrow's show.....we have another couple....who grew up in Lleida together, seems like the ultimate love story right....? even their parents knew they were destined for each other....This little blond bombshell had him from the word go...They now are staying in the same apartment since both are away from family. He's the cutie in the barca line up?? No I'm not talking about Gerard pique!! but tune in tomorrow to see the reveal of the big news for the quiet couple!!!
Buenas noches!!' replied the presenter blowing a kiss to the tv as the rolling credits began with the theme song...
