Fergie really adores Cristiano.

Maybe he should put his money where his mouth is and buy him back then?? or atleast make a offer... since he hasn't spent the £80M from selling Cristiano!

j/k ::lol::

He is keeping the 80m safe in case ManU win nothing this year...then he would buy him back. ::lol::

It would be fitting (and make sense) if Cristiano was the first player Fergie had sold from Manchester Unied and brought back while he was manager, but I don't see it happening! lol

True, if it was just about the football and winning trophies Cristiano would of stayed in his comfort zome at United, but it wasn't, it's about where hes most happy to live etc and also a new challenge.

you hit the nail right on the head. it pisses me off when people say oh i bet he wishes he stayed at united because they won carling cup and are doing well in the champions league....blah blah blah.
you summed it up well when you said the move was about his personal happiness and a new challenge and i think some people fail to realize that failure (in this case the team not qualifying) sometimes accompanies a new challenge.....life isn't perfect...

I agree, if your not happy in your personal life then football is not important imo, you need to sort out your private life first so your football flourishes otherwise you will struggle if your not happy with your private life, they go hand in hand, everyone knows that, you need to be settled.

No doubt about. It's one of those things you can see clearly. Too bad I think Cristiano thought his life in England was becoming a burden for him...oh well, life goes on.

It hurts to see United in the Quarter-Finals and Cristiano has to watch the rest of the Champion's League at home, Cristiano is 25 now at his peak years hes not getting any younger, he needs to showcase his talents in the latter stages of this big tournament imo.

I don't even think Cristiano will go to watch the final at the Bernabeu, it will hurt too much imo.

But that's life, time to move on I guess...

something tells me United will make it all the way to the Bernabeau and Cristiano will come out and visibly support them.... i dunno why i have that feeling. if united win CL....Rooney's chances of winning Ballon D'or or Fifa World Player look good and it will be well deserved because he's having an awesome season thus far..

i'm really praying that Portugal has a fantastic world cup...that defies all odds...

What hurts me most is that people are all trying to make Ronaldo stand out in the team's defeat last Wednesday. I came across this group on facebook: http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Manchester/LETS-ALL-LAUGH-AT-REAL-MADRIDNO-CHAMPIONS-LEAGUE-FOR-THEM-2O1O-HAHAHAHA/358270766948?ref=nf
and in my opinion it is totally painful to read the group's description in relation to Ronaldo. It goes like this:

after Madrid spent £260million they still cannot qualify for the champions league quarter finals!!! i say we laugh at them all the way to the finals and have a healthy laugh for Ronaldo also becuz he has to get a ticket to go see the finals!!hahaha

So disrespectful to Ronaldo and the team, especially if whoever created this group is a Man Utd fan - seems like he/she has forgotten those days when Ronaldo saved the day

If Cristiano takes Portugal to the WC Final, then all the Champions Leagua drama would be forgotten

Moving on to the game at the weekend, Cristiano to score a goal and Real Madrid win to help move on!
