Tough night, but will soon be gone.

I dont think he regrets leaving United, I think it was a concious decision but he was more than anything leaving England and that's much more than a football game, you know? He may feel sad tonight but you know how he is, he will work even harder if possible.

^^no maj I didn't see but on the rm site I love when he curls his lips up and nods like yeah...no problemo...usually when he does it he'll do the thumbs up...lol

I wonder if he went home and stared at the wall...

He probably cried himself to sleep! hes apperently a "Real Madrid fan" himself.

But knowing Cristiano he will want to do well for the rest of the season, Cristiano is a guy who moves on very fast from dissapointment, and in football you need to, no point driving yourself crazy about it, Lyon won fair and square and hopefully Real Madrid do better next game.

I honestly think Cristiano would be the wrong person to direct the hate at by Real Madrid fans and media, I mean he was playing as a striker and had a great first half, he had no decent service 2nd half, and the only decent chance to score he did get was the one he scored from in the first half (1 chance 1 goal), Higuain got all the decent chances to score a goal (he could of had a hat-trick!) and choked... who knows what would of happened had the chances all fell to Cristiano's boots??

I think Cristiano and Guti was Real Madrid's best and most creative players, there passing at times was sublime.

Cristiano is a winner though, hes use to winning, he will be one of the players hurting the most imo.

On Kaka, is it just me or does he get bullied off the ball too easily these days for a guy of his size?? or just gives up too easily... most of the time he gets bullied off the ball and falls over... but I still like him!  :-*

Totally agree. I wondered the same thing, had Cris gotten Pipita's chances i'm positive he would have done better. He was so determined this game. I'm still pissed at Pipita  for not passing. I can't even go to sleep.

Think Kaka is either carrying an injury or is afraid of getting injured, perhaps in light of the world cup this year.
OT. I heard that Kaka's wife slated pellegrini on her twitter acct when he subbed Kaka. I think its fake, but that would be a strange thing for a WAG to do

I think Guti summed it up perfectly with that quote. I watched the replay on FSC and the number of times the commentators said something about either: 1) Cristiano yelling that he's open... pass the ball to him or 2) that the player with the ball was being selfish by trying to shoot the ball instead of passing it to someone else to score was just sad...

I don't know how they went from having such fantastic team spirit on Saturday to this display today...it was heartbreaking!

poor thing...he's definitely in need of some TLC. like you said...knowing him he'll get back on that pitch and make winning la liga his priority.

i can't believe ronaldo will be not playing in the advanced stages of the CL :'( it's my favorite club competition and ronaldo won't be there! it's hard to describe what it feels like right now. we won't see him in the uefa awards and his place in the fifa awards is in jeopardy unless he wins the league with RM and has a good WC :(

i had a bad feeling about this all day at uni, my instinct told me dissapointed awaited me and now i have no idea how im gna study n i have to prepare for my presentation test!!!! im in tears right now and my heart is absolutly breakin.... y does RM always let opportunities pass them by like, remember three months ago wen barca drew n they needed to win to go top n they ended up drawing two??? i dnt wat to say the last time cris lost to the knock out stage was in 2006.... poor thing.... :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

I'm still proud of Cristiano even if he isn't in them places, hes still had a great season imo, just his injury and suspenson stopped him from scoring more goals, unlucky..
