Van Persie is just jealous imo...he also said when the Holland team arrived there were only few holland supporter waiting for them, but he saw also hundreds of fans all with a Ronaldo shirt on. He said now they (fans) realise he can't win them the title. Pfff 
He also said on the field Ronaldo doesn't help his teammates... Yeah Van Persie, that's the man who shouted to his coach because he subbed him and yelled why he didn't sub Sneijder instead.

Actually it's a good thing, he will have less pressure. Ronaldo wasn't there yet to be captain.
So now people will blame Bruno Alves when the team loses? I don't think so.
not so much because people expect less of him and despite him being the captain, the focus will still be ronaldo. i also don't think alves will act the same way as ronaldo. despite what is being said here and although i understand why he acted the way he did, i thought it was not right. i don't think it's something that is going to go away judging from what i've seen over the last seven years, so i think it's best that the captain's armband is not involved in this and people have one less motivation to criticize him (the fact that a "captain" is acting that way).
tbh, I think sometimes that Ronaldo should just either start shagging all his teammates wives/gf's, or lead a massive team revolt. (but maybe Evra is still team captain?) If he's going to be humiliated by his team, at least he should have gotten some fun out of it.
