?While I am in charge of the national team, if the size of the shirt is too small for anybody, then do not need to be here,? Queiroz said to a press conference.

?In games of this intensity it is understandable that some frustrations are evident. At present, it may be that the frustrations are not sufficiently educated to be well contained.
what does he mean by this

?I don?t want to win an easy friendship with him, I just want his respect. I want to make players better players and better people. If I need a lifetime to make them understand that the frustration must be contained I?m going to do it.

?Nobody is above the selection and never will be while I?m here.?
[/quote]

Does Queiroz mean he will drop Cristiano from the squad?? :o

::) this story is so out of proportion. The article makes it seem as though Cris said more than he actually said. The man only said a couple of words to the reporter about asking the coach. He didn't publicly diss him, although it may have been a little dig. I dont think Cris believes he's above the team at all.

It doesn't sound like he would DROP Cristiano - good god, what a backlash he would face!! - I think he means that Cristiano is welcomed to leave if he feels the national team is beneath him.

Van Persie says Ronaldo should respect football. He shouldn't have spat towards the camera. He says Ronaldo has to deal with a lot of pressure, because everyone expects him to do all the work. But he says Ronaldo doesn't work hard enough and he doesn't help his team. He's only thinking about himself whenever something doesn't work out.

This is some crap that really could have been handled in private.  ::)

Persie has a point in that Ronaldo should have stayed with his team, but really......

wtf who is van persi to tell "Ronaldo doesn't work hard enough and thinks onli about himself"

those people are really iritating.

what about Heinze kicking camera? how noone speak about that,
Totti spit other football player which is much worse, CR didn't spit anyone, just infront of camera.

all this people should look their own business, and CQ had fight with journalists so he isn't famous for self control.

Here Mayya
::) so he did spit at the camera...he really shouldn't give the media any more amunition to slate him. This is not the first time he's acted poorly after a big loss. he needs to keep him frustration under control because it doesn't look good or professional.

Did he? He spit on the floor as I can tell but of course he was mad at the cameraman ;)

'asi no ganamos, Carlos'
I think he knows Cristiano ;)

Ah, I hate working long hours cuz then i miss out on so much! Honestly, with all these newspaper articles and people unnecessarily giving their opinion, i am so disgusted with the backlash on ronaldo. and i'm not even saying that just as a ronaldo fan because spain played so well and deserved to win. but like it was said before, everything about him gets skewed and twisted - people just love to hate him! after the spain game, the camera should have focused more on the winning team than cristiano ronaldo, but they want to show his defeat! and while his spitting was REALLY offputting lol, i kinda understood it. the world cup is the BIGGEST, most important event in football and is how the greatest players immortalized themselves. i think for ronaldo it seems like portugal just can't get there and four years is a long time. i'm really glad that mourinho is backing him though, seems like only yesterday he was calling cristiano "illiterate" or something like that if i remember correctly?

on the bright side, cristiano received so much backlash after the last world cup and look what happened! he immediately matured in his game, scored amazing goals, eventually won champion's league and fifa world player of the year! here's to ronny doing that again, he's a fighter, isn't he? :-*

(sorry if anything here was already said! i had to vent abit after shifting through the pages :P)

What did Mourinho say?

a couple years ago, i think it was 2007(?) when cristiano was still at ManU, mourinho reportedly called him illiterate. that's actually one of the first things i thought of when it became official that mourinho was coming to Real, so i'm really glad that he's backing cristiano right now! kinda lays the foundation for a good manager/player relationship i think
