Capello kept his word (shocker!)

 ::lol::
He seems to be doing this a lot lately.
I'm worried.

He's keeping his word but in his opinion he only needs 100 to convey his tactics... Thats like me trying to run the Spanish NT with only the words 'Hola' and 'Gracias' :|

I know. I saw the interview he gave pre-match.
He seems awfully sure of himself to say he manages England.
It's all really well us beating Wales with his '100 word tactic' but we're not going to be playing Wales all the time, are we?

Exactly. We won't know how his 100 words are until we play better opposition.

Well if he had 100 words during the World Cup and look how that ended then he needs 101 to avoid a repeat.

Hopefully he won't be around in 2012... although it's looking increasingly likely he'll be staying.

His contract ends after the Euro's next year and he's said he's gone after that. The dozey FA took his release clause out of his contract last year meaning they can't kick him out without paying a tonne of money so its easier to keep him and then bid him adieu.

I want good old 'Arry' Redknapp to be manager next though. Or Ian Holloway just for entertainment value ::lol::

Yeah, and then they came out and admitted they'd got it wrong. Like that's going to make a heap of difference.
Recluses.

Ahh Ian Holloway, FTW.
He's a unknowing comedy genius.
Respect!

PS. I have come to the conclusion that Carroll is kind of camp for a Geordie lad of his stature. The post-match interview knocked the wind out of me. I was not expecting that.

Exactly. They took out a clause before seeing how he did at the World Cup so now were stuck with a manager that no ones really likes. Thanks FA.

I know! He is just so damn funny that you cant help but laugh when you shouldnt be laughing because you know he is being serious. Its the accent I think.

PS. I was thinking that. He's quite humble and imo shy which is something you dont expect from someone as big and menacing as him ::lol::

Capello irritates me. I don't think he has much of a clue when it comes to international level. The fact that we're winning the games we need to against, no disrespect, weak opposition makes him look better than he is. His strength is club football somehwere he can speak a language fluently ::lol:: I also think his man management is beyond terrible. The captaincy situation, telling Carroll he drinks too much...gah *facepalm*

I think 'Arry would be an immense England manager. He's brilliant. Although seeing Ian Holloway in the hotseat would be a dream. He is a hero on numerous levels. That is all.

I am getting carried away imagining repeats of Andy's goal while he's in the red of Liverpool in front of the Kop :D I hope this boosts his confidence a bit and gives him the drive to push on for us.

Emma, I know what you mean. Maybe not camp, but...he just seemed baffled. Like, baffled with the whole situation. Am I making sense? Probably not. I know what I mean, that's the best I can usually hope for.

I remember around the January transfer window when he was talking about Charlie Adam. And he basically told all the other clubs to 'p-ss off if they think they're taking him' in one of his press conferences.
He's just a legend. He's going to go down with the greats.
I'm actually jealous of the Blackpool fans because they get him as manager.

In my house we call him Mr 'state-the-obvious'.
Like it even matters if his players drink. Granted if he's going to go out the night before a game and get hammered then that's bad... but the young players have been constant professionals so far. I don't see him bringing up Wilshere on his exploits. ::)

I really hope he does well, just as long as that said first goal isn't against Newcastle.
He's got a lot to prove still and I hope he can shut up all of the idiots who continue to put him down.

You made sense.
He used to shy away from PR at Newcastle. I can kinda understand why now.  ::lol::
It's cute that he was so baffled.

I'm finding Wilshere increasingly pretty which annoys me because I think he's a knob, frankly.

::lol:: I didn't really wanna say this, but I don't think he's the sharpest knife in the drawer. Add that to his cute shyness and you get uncomfortable interviews. However, they do give me an overwhelming desire to give him a cuddle...

I wouldn't want him to score against Newcastle. It'd be sly on him and it'd be sly on the Newcastle fans, who I happen to be a major fan of myself. They're the North East version of Liverpool fans in my opinion.

He's really not the smartest. It's adorable though. ::lol:: It's interviews like that that really make it hard for me to be mad at him for leaving.

I don't think he would on purpose, but if he's still under pressure to perform then... maybe.
Who knows?
I also love Liverpool fans (and I have a soft spot for the team too.)

Andy! Hehe I feel so bad for saying this, but until he moved to Liverpool I didn't really like him... :-\
I feel like such a bandwagon-er! Everyone is going on about how they've always loved both him and Suarez, but seeing as he was a rival striker, I highly doubt any of the Kopites liked him!!

But WOAH big 'ole Andy, thank you for scoring!! You're growing on me babe, and I find you adorable in the whole I-really-have-know-clue-what's-going-on-and-I-really-need-to-cut-my hair way. You know what I mean?

But anyway, I haven't actually watched the game [imma bad person, I'll admit], but it's so hard for me to pretend that I stand Capello and believe in what he's doing to the team. It's really hard for me to accept that big and important players like Stevie or Frank will never win anything big playing for England, and I, being the vindictive beyotch that I am, must force some of that blame on to Fabio. 'arry should definitely take over. Or, I know I'm pushing, MouMou, just because he's my silver fox and I always look forward to his sideline antics.

;D
But Andy, feel free to bring that strike back to Anfield, we could really use it! Mmkay bye. :D

I didn't get to watch the international matches. Stupid, stupid school work!

I'm taking it he did well, though?
