Im starting to think Valencia are cursed not only Tavano, Moretti, Albelda, Del Horno, Marchena, Regueiro and Gavilán, Edu...are all injured but i heard David Villa picked up a small injury to the isquiotibiales (sorry i dont know the english for it) ...its only considered a slight problem but seriously how unlucky can 1 team be?
I agree
I really like Valencia and I feel bad for them

Yeah, we have been very unlucky with injuries this year!! I'm so close to pulling my hair out!!!!! Hopefully Villa is able to play against Madrid because otherwise we could be in a bit of trouble!!
The worst thing is that only Albelda is expected to be back before next year!!!!

News from today's training session. (For all the Valencia fans... just me then!!)
David Albelda is close to a la liga return after a few weeks out with ligament damage. He predicts a return against Deportivo on the 10th December. Also Berna (Captain of the B team) has been called up to train with the first team as cover in defence.
Miguel had to stop training early today after picking up an injury to his left thigh. And David Villa has been told not to play for approximately 10 days.

CHE WARN BLUES OFF VILLA MOVE

Chelsea will have to start the bidding at £100 million if they want to buy David Villa, according to Valencia president Juan Soler.

The Blues have been linked with a move for the Spain international, but Soler claims that they have not yet received a bid.

And he has issued a warning that any interested party will have to match the player's ?150 million buy-out clause if they want to begin negotiations.

Villa is reportedly being lined up as a replacement for Ukraine striker Andrei Shevchenko, who has failed to convince since his £30 million move from Milan in the summer.

But the player is under contract at the club until 2013 and Soler does not intend to let his prize asset leave without a fight.

"Officially, we have not received any interest or an offer from Chelsea for Villa," Soler told PA Sport.

"I met (Valencia sporting director Amedeo) Carboni this morning and he didn't mention anything regarding any possible interest from Chelsea for our striker.

"We have heard rumours, but that is all it is.

"We have no intention of selling him. But should any club be interested, they could sit down and negotiate his buy-out clause, which is currently worth ?150 million (£100 million).

"Villa is a crucial player for us now and in the future."

Carboni has since commented on the speculation, echoing Soler's desire to retain the player.

"We haven't spoken about the rumours, but he is in our plans and we don't expect Villa to leave for any price."

Chelsea sporting director Frank Arnesen has also claimed to have no knowledge of any bid for the player.

"I don't know anything," he said.

"That is an issue of the first team and those matters are dealt with by coach Jose Mourinho and chief executive Peter Kenyon.

"He is a very good player, but at Chelsea we already have very good players."

Cañizares set for new Che deal

By Francisco Acedo - Created on 29 Nov 2006

Santiago Cañizares is reportedly set to sign a new long-term deal with Valencia.

The goalkeeper turns 37 next month and his current deal expires at the end of the season, but he has been in negotiations with club president Juan Soler about extending his stay at the Estadio Mestalla until 2009.

"I am 99 percent sure of keeping our goalkeeper and I predict it will be finalised in the first week of December," said Soler.

"It would be unjust not to keep Canizares after this past season."

Portuguese defender Miguel, meanwhile, has been ruled out for at least three weeks with a leg injury.

He picked up the problem in training and becomes the tenth Valencia player to be sidelined this season.

Sport director Amedeo Carboni commented: "Right now we are looking at the recovery of our players and not thinking about the January transfer market."

Santi's evergreen!

Valencia don't have as many foreign fans as Barca or RM
I'm not a huge valencia fan, but I definitely like them the most in la liga. I like Sevilla too (but I sometimes wish they'd drop a few points  :-X), and I watch Atletico to see Torres haha
