Is anyone interested in doing this? Sounds quite good. Its the same as the premiership one but its about the WC. If enough people are interested in it we could start a league. It starts on the 18th May

Playing the McDonald's®/FIFA World Cup? Official Fantasy Game is simple. Once you have registered, you can start planning and picking your own personal team to take on other users at Germany 2006. Users can decide to play at any date until the day of the Final on 9 July but remember ? joining late gives you less chance to win points.
You can play the Fantasy Game as an individual or create a group of your own with other users, but in both cases, you will need a Yahoo! ID. Go to the registration page.
If you are not already registered with Yahoo! create your own ID by filling in all of the relevant boxes. Once this stage is completed you will be eligible to begin playing the Fantasy Game.
Choose a name for your team, if possible something quirky, and type it into the relevant box on the team registration page. Your team name must be a maximum of 30 characters in length, e.g. France Ferdinand FC.
You must also select a group from one of the 32 competing nations at Germany 2006. Your team will be in competition with other players within that group AND against all other users in Fantasy Game.
Select a squad of 23 players, who you think will shine at the finals and decide on a formation, e.g. 4-4-2, 4-3-3, etc. You will be able to chop and change your lineup as many times as you like before each match but once a player is in action, he cannot be substituted for another. You may also delegate a McDonald's Star Player or captain ? and however many points this player earns on the field will be doubled. If you drop a player from your roster, his place in future line-ups will be vacant until the transfer window opens.
Once this process is complete, click the Confirm button, unless you wish to join a specific private group.
If you prefer to play against friends, family or work mates, you can create a mini-league of your own. Go to the Private Groups page and register your team, while making sure that your password is available for future reference. Then you can invite a friend or associate to join in your own, exclusive league. Remember that other members of your group will need to know the password to sign themselves in. ADVERTISEMENT
Users will be able to view and edit their team information, join in and drop out of the group, and view the team ranking and score. They can also check their position on the public leader board and the private group leader board.
Please note that you will be able to tweak your lineup ahead of matches but will not be allowed to make changes to your squad until the transfer window is open. Remember you are limited to the number of transfers you can make.
