Desolate, Darkness & Despair.
PrologueLondon, England.Tawnee, pulled back the stained curtain. Her blue eyes glistening, as each desperate ray of sunshine hit her face. Her skin looked too beautiful to be anything humanly, almost like porcelain. Her long blonde hair frazzled from the short lonely hours she had slept, fell naturally against her slender figure. She was careful to only let a few stray rays of light in, enough for her to be able to see her way out of her cramped bed-sit. She didn?t need light, her life had been filled with darkness for 13 years now and she had made herself believe it would never return. It had been this way for so many years she had almost forgotten what it was like to have any companionship; she believed it was better this way; at least no one could ever break her heart again. She now only felt safe in complete solitude, so was the life of Tawnee Medina.
She rubbed her sore red eyes, and made her way downstairs, where she meticulously prepared the same breakfast she had been having for two years now: Warm toast and tea. She felt it represented her new life, one of boredom and despair. Everyday she would sit on the same ageing Victorian chair, and contemplate about the life she had left behind, and more importantly the people she had lost along her one way path to self destruction. She took one last sip of warm tea, and made her way back upstairs to prepare herself for the tough
task of leaving the safety of her home, to venture in the outside world. Although she hated ever having to go outside, she knew it was something she couldn?t avoid. She once used to be a happy go-lucky girl, who faced her troubles head on, but it had been sapped out of her at a very young and fragile age; she was now a mere shell of the person she once was.
Despite not having looked after herself, over the past few years, her good looks hadn?t faded. Before, that night she was widely renowned for being the prettiest girl in her area. She looked into the mirror and was almost disgusted at the person who stared back at her.
?Oh Tawn, what have you done to yourself? She sighed.
?You used to be a stunner! A young confident, head strong woman, where has she gone?? She used to look at her reflection everyday, but she had never given herself a second thought. Today was the first time, in years the thought of getting herself together had crept into her mind.
?Enough is enough? She thought to herself. It?s time to bring back the old Tawnee. She needed to feel alive again.

Madrid, Spain. ?XABI! I demand you get in here right now!? Tamara rushed to place all the delicate pieces of china on the table.
Xabi walked down the long winding staircase, to meet his long-term girlfriend. He stopped for a few seconds just to admire her beauty. She wore a sleek black dress, with heels, her hair curled to perfection. She was the definition of perfect.
?I see you?ve pulled out all the stops today eh gorgeous?? He spoke taking Tamara into his arms.
?Well what do you expect Xabi? They?re my parents! Of course I want everything to go perfectly? She didn?t break away from his hold though, she loved just being held by him, she felt safe in his strong muscular arms. As long as she was with him she?d be safe; he was her protector.
?If your mothers coming along, I?m wearing a bullet proof vest. She hates me?
?She doesn?t hate you Xabi? Tamara smiled. ?She just has this thing against footballers, she thinks they?re all cheats, but your going to prove that your different. Me and you were forever? She turned from his grasp, placing a gentle kiss on his cheek.
?Hmm, maybe she?s right? Maybe I?m just toying with you Tamy, maybe, just maybe this is all just a game for me? He loved to tease her, keep her in the dark. That way she was ALWAYS where he wanted her to be. Of course he loved her, but he loved power and control a lot more. Her mother wasn?t far wrong about him; she?d never know though, he?s never going to loose her. This was a game he was well and truly winning.
?Oh shut up Xabi, this is not a time for your jokes, just help me get the table ready, they?ll be here soon!?

Elsewhere in Madrid.?Just shut up will you!? The young brunette yelled.
?I just, I just can?t take this anymore. Just WHO do you think you are! Going through my phone like that. You have no right!? Tears streamed down her face.
?I thought you were cheating on me! What did you expect me to do. Running off in the middle of the night? Talking on the phone and cutting it off as soon as I walked in?? He grabbed both of her arms, in an attempt to calm her down.
His eyes bore into hers. ?What did you expect me to think, I couldn?t handle the thought of you cheating on me, but now I know now you weren?t so why cant we just move on baby?? He had an apologetic tone to his voice.
?Because Cristiano I don?t know if you?ll understand this, but TRUST is an important part to any relationship. How can I be with you if you don?t trust me?? She stooped next her bed, facing away from him, she couldn?t hold back the tears and longer.
He immediately knelt down beside her. He hated how much he had just hurt her. He never wanted any of this to happen but for some reason he becomes insecure with her. Like he could loose her at any point.
?Look you knew I had issues, I told you everything before we got together, about my dad, my family. Everything. Why is it that you can?t tell me what ever it is that?s going on right now. You say I don?t trust you, but I think it?s the other way round? He took her face into his hand, and wiped away her fresh tears with the other.
?What ever it is that?s happened, I?m going to stand beside you. When I said I loved you I meant it. Just let me in baby?

Barcelona. SpainTiffany made herself comfortable on her small plastic seat in the stadium. The sound of thousands upon thousands of loyal fans screaming motivation toward their team soared around her. The atmosphere was well and truly electric.
?Visca El Barca!? Was the main cheer going around. She watched as the players emerged from the dug out one by one, her eyes desperately searching for that one man.
Each name the commentator uttered, followed a large roar of cheers. She took in a deep breath, for his next announcement.
?Ladies and Gentlemen, we are glad to announce that Gerard Pique is now back in the squad, fully fit to play tonight match!?
She exhaled. There he was, the man she?s loved for longer than he?d known she existed. She?d watched him play many time?s now, she was an avid Barcelona fan, but this was the first time she?d be watching the match as Gerard Piques girlfriend. If only life could remain that simple for the newly formed couple.
For that moment though she felt like she was in eternal bliss. If only that moment could last forever.
