i've read some interviews with him and he does so just wondering.

also if so why? is it a Portuguese thing?

I thought only people in north America refer to it as soccer cuz we have American football?!

ya..id b easier for me cuz everytime dey talk about football its so confusing cuz i never no which 1 dey r tlking about..but its really wierd-him callin it soccer-i thought it was a american/canadian thing..  :-\

Do the Republic of Ireland call it soccer?  That's what Roy Keane called it in his autobiography, coz they have Gaelic Football and that.

i think that soccer should be called football everywhere, it makes more sense.  we can call our football maybe american rules rugby or american rules football.
