The big difference between Messi and Cristiano is that even when Messi doesn't score he gets universally praised and people find him magical.. when Cristiano doesn't he doesn't give the same magical emotions to people and there must be a reason for that or does everyone hate Cristiano

Messi plays on a team that is built around him and has 70-80% possession, where he's the end of every attack. Ronaldo plays on the wing on a counter-attacking team that tries to feed the ball to the fwds (Benzema/Higuain).

The refs allow Ronaldo to be fouled over and over. That's what I'm worried about. A player can't get within 6 feet of Messi without getting a card.

Other than that, I think the papers have to say something about Ronaldo every day.

“A player of Cristiano’s professional nature and experience gets angry when things don’t turn out. We all know how much he wants to help the team. The gesture he had after scoring was just a sign of rage, that’s all.”

To be honest im just so sick of all the comparisons between cris and messi:-(!! The media villify one whereas the other is put on a pedestal. When is it going to stop:-(? I dont even see the media making a fuss when messi doesnt play well but when its cris its all over the papers!!! Sick and tired of this. If we as fans(well at least me)are angry about this how would cristiano feel:-(. Im sure he is kind of use to it but when is it enough? Im sure that at times it must be really hard for him. Sorry for the rant.

And Messi hasn't really struggled with Barça. Since he's in 1st team, they dominate everything and win most game easily.
Let's see how he will react and how he will help the team now they struggling 5 points behind Real
