I think the serious injury lost him his starting place in the Real Madrid team to Benzema and he can't win it back because Benzema keeps scoring goals and playing well, he will get his chances maybe he will take them but maybe a change of scenery would be best for him, PSG might be a good option for him or come to The Premiership I'm sure many clubs would love him :)

Actually he was on the bench this weekend because he told Mou that he would prefer being on the bench since he did three indoor gym sessions and only one team session for practice this past week...

And when it comes to starting position. I think that they still split games evenly. The thing is, Higuain was out with a debilitating injury, and that set his rhythm back a few. He is back to his rhythm, but lately he has been missing a lot in front of goal, so its only natural that Mou sub him in/out to use game conditions to his advantage... I doubt that Higuain will leave cause he is one of two strikers on the team, and they can play together so it isn't like he won't play...

I think that people haven't been talking as much about Pipita this season, or recently is his current goalless streak... When he breaks that, he'll be back to normal

^ I dont think his lack of goals had anything to do with his playing time. When you go over the games, he and Benzema were sharing games quite evenly. And until Benzema got injured, Higuain still had one more goal than Benzema.

If you look at Higuain's last few games, you see that he has enough chances to score, its just the accuracy, and perhaps goalkeeping luck that kept them out.

If anything, I think that keeping Benzema and Higuain together on the team, has spurred them into playing a little better. Benzema has taken to moving around the pitch incredibly well, forcing defenders to move and open spaces to keep him covered. And Higuain has been seen laying some great assists, and starting really good plays when the defense doesnt give him a option to shoot. And they happen to play really well together. They are, as far as strikers go, completely different players, that allow Mou to adapt gameplay and tactics depending on which, or who he uses them on the field. A defense set to cover against Benzema is a lot different than the defense tactics used against Higuain.

The two goals today will just release that frustation of having spent quite a few games unable to score.

If I had to be honest. I dont think Mou has a starting striker. I think it depends on the team they are playing, and the situation of the game.

Higuain also laid a great assist for Cristiano today on that first goal :)

I agree I meant Benzema getting injured has given him more chances to start games though and it helps instead of coming on as substitute

Before his injury Higuain started more of the big games, now it's Benzema but this is a chance to prove he should be starting those games too

I think Higuain is a better goal scorer then Benzema but Benzema is a better player if that makes sense? in terms of what he brings to the team.

I think Benzema has more quality and stability, while Higuain shines in one game and then he has many really bad games in a row. Benzema is more of a team player too, though Pipa has improved in that part, like today he was passing much too which he hasn't done much in previous years :)

Anyway both are world class players. Real Madrid is lucky to have Cris, Benze and Pipa, these 3 together are gonna score like 100 goals this season ::lol::

Farewell wave?

It looks like Pipita is leaving. AS caught what was written on his shirt (the only player with his shirt signed) during Cibles celebrations stuff like:

"Thank you for everything you gave us."

What a shame he's done so much for RM but things change and time, the team moves on.. maybe now is the right time for him to leave I wish him well wherever he goes I'm sure he will do great :)
