But Roxanne ? who is hotly tipped to take the sexiest female crown at next month?s British Soap Awards ? explains: ?Danny is just a mate.

But Roxanne, who plays Dales minx Jo Sugden, says she will never be a WAG.
?I hate the term,? she says. ?It?s so derogatory, I have no idea why women would aspire to be one.
?Fair enough for people like Cheryl Cole and Victoria Beckham ? they have their own careers and fell in love with a person regardless of their profession.
?But when girls go to nightclubs just to seek out footballers, it?s degrading, it?s sad.
?They need to get an identity and a job of their own.
?I don?t know who I am going to end up with in the long run but I would hate to be called a WAG if I do settle down with a footballer because it gives the impression that you don?t have any aspirations of your own, and I have bags full.
?I?m an actress and that?s what I am passionate about.
?If I ever have a husband I will not be waiting for handouts or pocket money.?
Roxanne has been at the centre of media speculation about her love life and she admits that she can understand why.
But she confesses that it?s frustrating that she?s always linked to men who are just friends.
?This is the first time I have been single in the public eye so it is really the first opportunity that people have had to link me to someone,? she says.
?When you?re single in the industry, people are always interested in who you are dating so you can?t talk to anyone of the opposite sex without people thinking something is going on.
?I have a lot of male friends and it doesn?t mean I am dating them.?
Despite being linked to a string of men, including her co-star James Baxter, 17, who plays Jake Doland, Roxanne tells us she?s still waiting to find the man of her dreams.
But fellas be warned ? she?s not going to settle for second best.
?I?ve not met anyone who has wowed me enough to be in a relationship,? she explains.
?I am one of these girls who would much rather hang out with my mates than be with a guy just for the sake of it.
?I will never settle, I want someone to give me butterflies and sweep me off my feet.
?Until I feel that, then I am going to enjoy being with my girls and having a laugh.?
