Alexandre PATO

the new Cristiano Ronaldo. Just turned 17 in September and already has the technical ability of a player twice his age. Pace, trickery and a great footballing brain are three of many key attributes this wonderkid holds. I made a new thread for him because out of all the young talent out there in the footballing world today, I believe this kid is the one who will one day be the best player on earth. I follow the youth of football in many leagues all around the world and Alexandre Pato is by far the brightest up and coming prospect in my opinion. If you guys were looking for the new Cristiano Ronaldo, well here he is.

Alexandre Pato is 17 years old and Brazilian football's next superstar. He's powerful, quick and incredibly skilful. He reminds us a bit of Cristiano Ronaldo. Pato is currently playing for club side Internacional in the World Club Championship ? he'll no doubt be playing for a big club in Europe within two years though. His nickname is The Duck, simply because 'pato' translates into English as 'duck'. Duh

Alexandre Rodrigues da Silva (his real name) was born September 2, 1989, in Pato Branco, Paraná.

He can play anywhere across the midfield with the wing being his most played position. If a match needs to be won he will be moved into the middle in most cases. Like anix said, he currently plays for club Internacional in brazil. He became known to people in the world club cup in late 2006 where he showcased his talent in asia. His qualities are so similar to Cristiano's its scarey. Perhaps he is ahead of Ronaldo at the same age but that is a very hard thing to judge. I know chelsea and milan already want him but Internacional have a clause in his contract that wont allow him to go unless they get a certain figure and they get compensation for many years after he leaves.

aww! he has a thread!!! I saw this kid during the club championship in december. All the commentators kept talking about anytime internacional got the ball was PATO!

He really is a true genius and at such a young age to posses the qualities he does is absolutely amazing. Im so so excited about what the future will hold for him.

I love watching Pato play football, hes so exciting and fearless at the same time. His pace is frightening but he also has a great understanding of the game. His timing is close to perfection, he knows exactly when to release the ball.

It wont be long untill on of europes top clubs sign him.

He had offers from clubs in january but none were excepted because he still needs more time to develop. So maybe next year
