I was waiting for this thread Lisa. Im glad you finally made it hehe.

This is a big call, but perhaps the greatest Italian striker in the world in two years time. I hope so anyway because this kid has absolute bags of talent. Lets hope he can one day reach his full potential.  :)

Yeah well I thought not many people would be interested but i hope he will catch their attention.

Yes indeed a big call and thanks for your trust :) . I hope youre right. Italy needs a great striker and if you ask me he could be in the starting line-up for them from now on already. But with Donidoni its never easy.
I guess the key for him will be that he has to stay at a smaller club for one or two more years. I hope he doesnt move to Milan, Inter or Roma this summer. He will waste his talent because he will never play as regulary as he does now. And they love him in Sampdoria, thats important i think. He is their top scorer at the moment and very very vital, you can tell.
He has everything: good in the air, two feet, good shot, confidence, heart and good body strenght.
It would be a pity if he coudnt show it the whole world one day.

Ok new rumours:

Manchester United interested in Fabio Quaglirella.

I cant post a link sorry because it would be either in german or in italian and i guess thats not helpful.
Milan and Inter are interested too. The price is somewhere around 15 million euro they say.

Thought I could add a biography:

Fabio Quagliarella (born 31 October 1983 in Castellammare di Stabia, province of Naples) is an Italian football striker.

Quagliarella started his career at Torino. After being loaned to a lower division club, he returned to Torino in 2004, and scored 7 goals in Serie B, plus one goal against Ascoli in the promotion playoff's first legs. But financial problems forced Torino stay in Serie B, and Quagliarella joined Udinese for a year, before signing for U.C. Sampdoria, for whom he has already scored 11 goals in the 2006-2007 season, including 2 spectacular ones against Atalanta as well as La Gazzetta dello Sport's goal of the week against Chievo. He also scored 2 goals in the coppia italia in 2006-2007. Only small in height this young striker seems to have a great deal of potential; and seemed to be set for his first Azzurri callup for a friendly against Romania in February, only for the match to be cancelled due to fan riots in the Serie A that weekend. Later he got his first call up to the Azzurri in march for a euro 2008 qualifier against Scotland, and made his debut as a substitute (substite Luca Toni in 87 min.).

This season, 2006/07, he has been doing well for Sampdoria and has scored some beautiful goals, for example a lob from almost 40 yards.

2001 - 2002    Youth of Torino
2002               Florentia (on loan)
2003 - 2004    Chieti (on loan)            14 goals in 43 matches
2004 - 2005    Torino                             8     "       32      "
2005                Udinese
2005 - 2006     Ascoli
2006 - pres.     Sampdoria                   13 goals so far this season (league)

Manchester United To Sign Sampdoria Striker Fabio Quagliarella

English Premiership club Manchester United reported to sign Sampdoria Striker Fabio Quagliarella. Sampdoria Sports Director Beppe Marotta has admitted an offer from Manchester United for the striker. ?I can now confirm the offer from Manchester United, but it only represents one of several possibilities? Marotta said. Fabio Quagliarella currently co-owned between Sampdoria and Udinese. ?We will have to do our accounts with Udinese, the joint owner of his contract, and consider the will of the player ahead of such important offers.? Marotta added.

So two more goals now for him. He scored a couple against Lithuania with two strong shots.

http://www.d1g.com/video/show/?id=1068727

That makes 2 goals in 3 appearences for Italy. He scored two goals in a total of 55 minutes he stood on the field for Italy. 3 Minutes against Scotland, 2 minutes against Far Oer and 40 against Lithuania.
This will definately make the big clubs pay attention to him. I hope the best for him.

fabio quagliarella is an amazing player (not to mention gorgeous  ::lol::) almost all of his goals are jawdropping so it shouldn't be long before huge clubs pick this guy up. allegedly roma are in the lead to get this guy but the price is what is making them hesitate (24 ME) i wanted to find more pics of this guy but i couldnt until i raided the sampdoria site. they have a pretty good gallery of him so i thought that i would share some of the best pics of him

fabio and beppe marotta (prez of sampdoria)

fabio and his parents

fabio and marcello lippi

fabio and pietro accardi

there are tons of good ones of him on the site but these are just a few. enjoy!
