Bojan Krkic is going to be amazing apparently! I heard that he got an offer to play for Chelsea but he turned them down. I think his father is a scout for Barca also.

Bojan es a bit like Messi because he's cute :)

At the U-17 Championships for Spain its about another guy called Iago Falque Silva who used to play for Real Madrid but wasn't given a chance so he plays for Barca ;)

You're right about the Chelsea offer and about his father being a Barca scout. Krkic, who is sometimes called Bojan Krkic-Perez by the Spanish media, comes from a family with a football backing. His father, also named Bojan, played for Belgrade Red Star in the 1980s before leaving for Spain where his son was born and where he took a gig as a scout for Barcelona. His mother is Catalan and he speaks Catalan also which is seriously cool :D :D

Iago Falque also looks to be a good player for the future - I remember he was posing for some boots with Deco not too long ago :)

Spain U17 coach Santisteban takes special Care of Bojan Krkic

U17 coach of Spain Juan Santisteban has realized that the 5 matches played in the last 12 days have been too much for Bojan. Therefore he has worked out a special program for young Bojan Krkic, because the experienced coach wants his star player at his best in the semifinals.
Spain will play germany today and can even afford to lose with 2 goals difference and when Spain scores, even with 3. The semifinal will be played on Thursday.

Juan Carlos Gomez Perlado, physiotherapist of the U17 national team revealed:

Against the Ucraina, we saw that Bojan wanted but could not. The player even asked me, if it will take much to return to have the spark that he needs to have a better game. But Bojan does not have to get obsessed with it. This is a new experience and he has to learn from it.

Pedro Sanchez, is also working on Bojan as his personal coach for the next days, so the young boy returns to his best. The technical staff has to decide now, if Bojan will be rested for the encoun ter against Germany. Bojan will probably start on the bench and will be used, if needed. this would give him a few days more to recover his physical strength.

Santisteban hopes to count on the boy from Linyola and hopes Bojan will be able to show all his repertoire in the semifinals. Scoring a goal in the semifinal would definetely help to recover his best.   :)

Bojan Krkic: Europe's most talented 16-year-old?

Barcelona have found yet another gifted striker, who's currently illuminating the European U-17 Championship.

Perhaps nobody could have quite lived up to the hype. Having finished as joint top-scorer in the European U-17 Championship last season, when he was only 15, Bojan Krkic (or Bojan Krkic Perez, as the Spanish press calls him) was widely expected to be the star of this year's tournament. For sure, he played his part yesterday as Spain began their campaign with a comfortable 2-0 win over France, but he delivered an oddly dislocated performance.

It wasn't that his play was selfish, it was that he seemed to exist on a different plane to his team-mates. Three times Krkic found space where there should have been none on the corners of the box, and threaded finely-measured passes into the centre, only to find that nobody had read his intentions. Blame him for not calibrating his game to the level of his team, or blame his team-mates for not learning from the first cross? There is no easy answer, but what was clear was that, despite an impressive performance from Arsenal's Fran Merida, Krkic was by far the most technically accomplished player on the pitch.

Finding his level must be difficult. Krkic is small and slight, but has still played 18 times for Barcelona B this season, scoring 10 times. It is expected that next season he will train with the first team - although there have also been rumours of a loan move to Ajax - while continuing to play matches with the B side. Comparisons with Lionel Messi are not necessarily helpful - particularly as Krkic is more of an out-and-out striker - but it is not hard to see why they have been made. So key is he considered to Barcelona B's chances of avoiding relegation that the club even tried to persuade the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) that Krkic should stay with them rather than travelling to Belgium with Spain's U-17s. Fortunately for the tournament, the RFEF ruled against them.

It makes sense, anyway, for Spain to make Krkic feel at home in their colours. His father, also called Bojan, is a Serbian who played for Red Star Belgrade in the Eighties. After moving to Spain he married a Catalan woman, and became a scout for Barcelona in 1997. Bojan Jnr was born in Linyola in the north-west of Catalonia, but Serbia is agog at his progress, hoping he may opt for them. His father has not ruled it out. "Bojan will choose the colours of his national selection by the age of 21," he said. "There is still plenty of time to make a serious decision."

Krkic joined the cantera at Barcelona in 1999, since when his statistics defy belief. In seven years in their youth set-up, he hit an astonishing 889 goals. Of course, goals are easier to come by in youth football than in the senior game, but the sort of consistency that brought an average of over three goals a game at every level still stands out.

It was at the European U-17s in May last year that he really made a name for himself, though, despite playing just 270 minutes in Spain's five matches. Admittedly three of his five goals came against Luxembourg, but against Russia he was spectacular, his introduction at half-time turning a goalless first half into a 3-0 win.

It is not just that he is a superb finisher. He is also a a wonderful dribbler, blessed with balance, close control, vision and devastating acceleration. "There are only a few players who have a magical touch," the former Barça midfielder Pep Guardiola said, "and Bojan is one of them." He made his debut for Barcelona's first team in a friendly against Al-Ahly in Cairo last week, and scored, prompting Frank Rijkaard to hail his "great talent, coolness and class".

The only concern is over his physique. He is lightweight, and he was given a battering by the France centre-back Mamadou Sakha yesterday, before, to add insult to injury, being booked for diving after stumbling over the defender late on. Still, he seemed undaunted by the physicality, which bodes well.

Spain play their second match against Ukraine tomorrow, before an intriguing final group game against Germany on Monday. Germany, inspired by the playmaker Toni Kroos, were particularly impressive in beating a sluggish Ukraine yesterday. On early form, the Spain-Germany game looks like being a meeting not merely of the two best teams in the tournament, but also the two best players. Krkic has a mantle to defend

He only came on today for a bit of the second half against Germany and he should have scored but I think he is tired like you said Remei xx

Depleted Spain reached the UEFA European Under-17 Championship final after overcoming Belgium in a dramatic penalty shoot-out.

Goalkeeper David De Egea saved the eighth Belgian spot-kick, taken by Dimitri Daeseleire. Ander Vitoria had missed a penalty for Spain before Maurizio Aquino blazed over what would have been a game-winning kick.

Bob Browaeys's team appeared to be on course for Sunday's final in Tournai when Eden Hazard let fly on 63 minutes and saw his strike deflected into the goal off Spain defender David Rochela.

But that was counting without the influence of Spain's star forward Bojan Krkic who forced the equaliser with eight minutes of normal time remaining.

Belgium started well and Kevin Kis almost caught out De Egea with an ambitious long-range effort.

At the other end, Isma Lopez posed the visitors' first threat, cutting in from the left before hitting the side-netting with a powerful attempt.

Belgium goalkeeper Jo Coppens also had to be alert on 26 minutes to fist away Ximo's free-kick as Juan Santisteban's side began to turn the screw.

The Spanish side's task was made all the harder when Pichu Atienza was sent off for a second yellow card after bringing down playmaker Hazard 11 minutes after half-time.

Belgium finally went ahead against the run of play.

Nill De Pauw found Hazard with a delightful ball and the playmaker fired an angled drive past De Egea and in off Rochela from 10 metres.

Spain might have equalised immediately when Krkic's rifled 20-metre strike came off the far upright.

However, Santisteban's faith in his much-heralded striker paid dividends on 72 minutes as Bojan's quickfire effort from 25 metres dipped over Coppens and into the net.

It went to penalties and it was Spain who kept their nerve

His goal against Belgium yesterday was very good and so was his penalty in the shootout

That's true, a lot of players dive which is very unfortunate. Bojan is young, I hope he doesn't make a habit out of it though. He's got a very promising future and I look forward to seeing more of him in the future. Like the final on Sunday! :D

I didn't they those above don't dive. I just said that it's a shame that Bojan does it. That other players does it is no excuse to do it yourself.

Anyway, lovely goal he did on Thursday! Can't wait to see him and Spain against England tomorrow. This final will be great, both teams have been brilliant!
