Germany played fantastic and it would have been great if we had won the World cup, but being 3rd was almost even more amazing, because when we got beaten by Italy the streets didn't get quiet, but the whole nation stood behind the team and the party went on. We were celebrating as if we had won. if we had become world champions we would have never seen how big the loyalty towards our team really was.

because people thinks french are snobs and cheaters.

yeah i have a friend who diesn't the french because she things the all a arrogant anf snobs and so on! and im like: yeah they might be very proud to be french but, I have spent too much time in france to say that they are only arrogant and snobs! i have talked with  many nice frenchmen! (or my father has anyway)

btt: well if portugal had taken quaresma with them in the wc, then i think they would have played a lot better. You can hate me for saying this, but figo slowed down the game. With quareasma and ronaldo down the wings portugal has two players with speed and skill. they players well together cause they know each other so well (if one of the can't play, simao is a good player too)
then they have deco in the middle and gomez in the front. thats a pretty damn good offensive!

I heard a lot of people saying they don't like french because we're arrogant, snob....etc
I think its weird to judge someone by his nationality. I mean its not because you met a guy who's stupid that everyone in his country is stupid...
(Unfortunately, stupidity is universal  , you don't have to be in a special place to meet silly guys.)
I won't say that I'm not proud to be french, 'cause I am but I won't say to someone: "hey I'm better than you because I'm french",  because its not my opinion and I know that I'm not this kind of person.


anyway back to the subject : I was also impressed by the performance of Ukraine and Australia, they were considered like "small" teams but they managed to be in quarter-final.
