Cristiano Ronaldo. The World at the feet of the Madeirense

Madeirense at the top of the world. Green, red or white, Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the greatest names in world sport, an icon of modern society, which creates idols at the speed of light and that amounts to a status above the common herd.

But Cristiano Ronaldo is much more than the magazine covers color pink is much more than the sum of girlfriends that passed through his hands, is much more than a collection of cars, earrings and other accessories, more or less fashion, which are only available to a handful of privileged. It is a great professional football is the athlete of modern times: turned the innate technical ability to make a few funny touches the ball on a fast machine to play football, a machine full of muscles and any lawn that's wiping down which. And that is why, at age 24, is already one of the best Portuguese soccer players of all time, one of the great stars of the beautiful game on a global scale.

With the Sporting Green, the red of Manchester United or the white of Real Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo is a winner. Best player in the world in 2008, among other distinctions, has won a bit of everything. Lack, only one title for the national team. Will it be the 2010 World Cup?

I don't think people should put too much pressure on Cristiano to win a trophy with Portugal, I mean even Figo and Eusebio never done that... 2 great legend players of the game... and alot of England players have never done it, with better players... so it's not a major slight on Cristiano's career if he never...

I think we can safety say Cristiano is one of Portugal's greatest players ever, but if he leads Portugal to a title, he would be there greatest player ever without debate! well imo he would.  :-*

That would be amazing, it's probably the only trophy that has alluded Cristiano so far in his career, but he has a few chances left to win it... I mean hes only 24, probably another 3 chances (if the World Cup is every 4 years starting from next year) to win the World Cup if Cristiano plays football until hes 32/33 and still plays for Portugal and hasn't retired (Figo played until then didn't he??)
