it was a boring day.
tonnes of models smoke. its a good way to reduce your appetite and keep your weight down
obviously im not condoning it though lol........
the models i've spoken to say it's not really about reducing their appetites (there are tonnes of fat people who smoke, and they're still fat). as hard as it may sound, a lot of the models (obviously not all) are naturally skinny and the biggest reasons i've heard for them smoking are
A. to pass the time while waiting during fittings/runway shows
B. it's picked up since your around so many people who do smoke.
C. stress reliever
(i've heard this a few times)
D. some photoshoots require a cig in the photo and they set production is too lazy to get you a herbal cig, so you start smoking it on the shoot and just get addicted (the lamest excuse of them all)
their reasons are despicable, but that's what they say
the peer pressure one is bull though, i've seen a photo of Karolina around a group of models who are smoking and drinking champagne and all she has in her hand is a bottle of water. that's why in person her skin is super flawless. but in 2004-ish she is shown with a cig at Heidi's costume party, it's probably a prop for her flapper costume
Carmen Kass is a freaking chimney! I was watching her getting prepared for an fashion award show and it was cigarette after cigarette.
the VH1 Vogue Awards!!! i saw it too, she's a bitch though. always yelling on her mobile and then smoking another cig. she looks really old too.
