Well, the game is on and I think the first 20 minutes have been entertaining  ;D

Cristiane's diving really bothers me though  :-\

Congratulations Germany...I guess  :-\ I know I'm gonna sound like a bad loser  ::lol:: but I really thought Brazil were the dominating team. Their players are so skilful, but then at the end of the day the team that scores is the team that wins. And the way Germany has gone through this competition is really very impressive.

I've been going on and on about Marta in about all of my posts in this thread so I'll just continue that trend  ::lol::, I really felt bad for her when she missed that penalty  :'( It was a really bad one as well. They just showed a close-up and you could see how incredibly sad she was, she tried to make up for her mistake all time left. She's such an amazing player, got past 1, 2, 3, 4 German players as it was the easiest thing in the world and I really would've wanted her to win this gold-medal, but it wasn't her nor Brazil's day today.

2nd is the best the Brazilian team ever has gotten though, so that's an achievement. I hope that this will make women's football more respected over there, because from what I've read the conditions for female players aren't exactly ideal right now.

End of rant, and once again, congratulations Germany!  :)

yeah we made it! Champiooons! (trying to stop my ego from exploding :P ::lol:: j/k)

I know especially in the first half the Brazilians were a bit better, but what was important was that Germany defended well and took their chances. In the end it is a deserved win, just as it would have been deserved if Brazil had won. Both are great teams, and it was a really good entertaining game and fun to watch.
