I love Alicia Keys.She's so talented.She can do it all: play the piano,write meaningful songs,and sing at the same time.She's one of the perfect examples of what an artist is!

Her new album is amazing too. I love 'superwoman' and like 'you'll never see me again'.

She's an amazing singer.
She's very consistent with it.

i loved her first cd, and i loved her back then, now idk shes weird. i still think shes obviously talented and gorgeous, but i almost feel like shes not soulful or like she became too mainstream. i dont like that no one song, it doesnt sound good at all to me.

I simply love it when musicians write their own lyrics. I canīt seem to understand how some artists-the majority- can sing lyrics that werenīt written by them. personally, i think one can sing it with much more passion when itīs been written by them than by another person, īcause when itīs written by you, itīs like you mean what youīre saying/singing anyway, iīm rambling I just think that to make a musician a REAL musician, they have to come up with their own lyrics, even if they suck

The thing about how ppl sing someone else's lyrics,I think that happens when they first start out.Cuz they're being pushed around by music execs who want to develop a certain image, but after they become successful they have more control

I disagree with you on the last part.I think what makes a REAL musician is TALENT for sure,writing your own lyrics,and creating an image that is YOU and not by the record company
I mean there are some talented singers out there who don't sing their own lyrics but still sound amazing
Ppl who absolutely suck like hilary duff and hannah montana say they write their own lyrics but they are far far far away from being real musicians or have any talent whatsoever

dont get me wrong she's extremely talented its just shes changed, i mean for one i remember how ppl thought she was a lesbian cuz she never wore skirts but she said that she has her own style, and i read in a magazine quote by her that she would never wear anything that shows too much like too revealing, and she just seems more hollywood now.

Still she still has some good songs, and i have to agree with you that talent is what counts. sucky lyrics is not real music to me. im not disputing she has talent because she obviously can write lyrics, play piano and sing well but it doesnt send the same vibe as before. i still think she's probably one of those ppl that give me hope for the future of music.

like her style has changed to wearing a bit more revealing things but idk I guess she does it in a tasteful way unlike some trashy celebs out there lol
and yeah she doesn't give the same vibe anymore
for me her voice has changed.it's a bit more strained and raspy.idk whether it's intentionally or not but it sounds different but still amazing

I think she looks fine the way she is. She's not skinny but she still looks beautiful. She actually has curves and looks great. She has a regular body not a Hollywood body
